We are an inclusive 🌈 space that works with LGBTQI2S+ and their allies. What does this mean? LGBTQI2S+ experience a disproportionately higher rate of systemic abuse, trauma and mental health issues that impacts the physical body. As such, empathy and curiosity toward the physical body is the cornerstone of this practice. Massage therapy is a great tool in conjunction with other modalities and lifestyle changes to create, see, or feel more balanced and reset to start a new.
We are also a trauma-informed and evidence based practice following the scope of Registered Massage Therapy. RMT approaches all clients with the idea they all have experienced trauma having no assumptions that their physical presentation dictates their mental health and vice versa.
Daniel is an RMT and has been in practice for over 10 years. We look forward to working with you soon.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE aka Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Are you working out a lot and sore? Noticing pain after a workout or movement?
AKA Sports massage! What is an orthopaedic or orthopedic massage / manual therapy? "Orthopaedic" refers to the musculoskeletal system: muscles/tendons, soft tissues (fascia), and joints, and so an orthopaedic massage / manual therapy would be focused treatment on those areas to relieve pain or tension, while restoring balance, ideally creating an increase range of motion. ***NOTE: This type of massage can be painful even with light pressure as it is focused on the exact cause/and or source of tension or pain. If you cannot or do not want to feel ANY pain, and want your body to just "feel good", please book a "Relaxation Massage" further below. Orthopaedic Registered Massage Therapy incorporates myofascial release (feels like stretching but affects the connective tissues) with some trigger point therapy (similar to pressure points) along with deeper swedish massage and joint mobilizations (movement of the joints) to promote balance in the body. Assisted stretching and strengthening may be used during the treatment. Appropriate homecare and referrals are given when necessary to extend the benefits of the massage. GST is excluded from quoted price.
