"Orthopaedic" refers to the musculoskeletal system: muscles/tendons, soft tissues (fascia), and joints, and so an orthopaedic massage / manual therapy would be focused treatment on those areas to relieve pain or tension, while restoring balance, ideally creating an increase range of motion. ***NOTE: This type of massage can be painful even with light pressure as it is focused on the exact cause/and or source of tension or pain. If you cannot or do not want to feel ANY pain, and want your body to just "feel good", please book a "Relaxation Massage" further below. Orthopaedic Registered Massage Therapy incorporates myofascial release (feels like stretching but affects the connective tissues) with some trigger point therapy (similar to pressure points) along with deeper swedish massage and joint mobilizations (movement of the joints) to promote balance in the body. Assisted stretching and strengthening may be used during the treatment. Appropriate homecare and referrals are given when necessary to extend the benefits of the massage. Daniel will create a treatment plan prior to your massage that is best suited to your immediate needs and goals. He has created a treatment style for all clients that is a balance between comfortable, clinical and therapeutic. A hot towel service is offered in conjunction with optional aromatherapy.

Daniel is passionate in treating scoliosis, pain and dysfunction associated with hyper-flexibilty, MVAs and concussion cases. He treats a wide range of conditions but not limited to anxiety, TMJ disorder, whiplash, headaches, postural or core imbalance, chronic disorders, and neck, shoulder and lower back pain/stiffness.

Please note Daniel is only comfortable treating pre-natal clients in their 1st trimester and post-natal.
